There are three states a Listing can have:
- Published - All registered and verified Buyers can view the Listing and, if available, make offers against
- Un-Published - No Buyer can view the Listing. Only the Seller can view and make changes to the Listing. This is useful for preparing Listings before they can be published for Buyers to see.
- Demo - A special case of demonstration Listings new Sellers to the Marketplace can see and edit - for on-boarding purposes only. See this article for more information.
Default State / Toggling States
By default, when new Listings are added, they are saved in the Un-Published state. Therefore, Buyers won't be able to Discover or view the Listing.
In order to Publish the Listing, you must first at create at least one Available Avails package - this is so Buyers will be able to search based on Avails criteria. (You can also not enforce avails if you do not know or are unable to load your Avails).
Attempting to Publish when you do not have any Available Avails package will result in a notice like this:
When a Listing is in the Published state, a "Published Listing" state will show. The Listing can be Un-Published by pressing the Unpublish button. Take care, however, as the Listing will immediately be hidden from Buyer's view.
Filtering Listings by Publish Status
If you'd like to filter your Listings by Publish status (such as wanting to view only un-published listings), you can do so on the main My Listings page.
Find the filter Status and if you have any Listings that are Unpublished, you'll see an option once Status is clicked.
By selecting Unpublished, only Listings that are unpublished will be shown.
