Introduction
Now, you can initiate a deal with two or more listings from the same seller with Bundled Deals, this helps you to negotiate faster and easier in the marketplace!
Here are some things to keep in mind when creating a Bundled Deal:
- Only listings from the same seller can be added to a Bundled Deal
- Licence terms will apply to all listings within the Bundled Deal
For learning about making an Offer or Proposal for a single listing, please refer to “How to Structure an Offer”.
Starting a Bundled Deal
From the individual listing page, click on the “Start A Bundled Deal” button for the listing to be added to your Bundle Deal Cart. Once a listing is in your cart, you will only be able to add other listings from the same seller to your cart.
Note: Once there is a listing in your cart, you will not have the option of adding listings from other sellers to your cart (the button will not be clickable, as below). You will have to start a new Bundled Deal for each different seller.
You can click on the cart icon on the top right corner to view/ remove listings or find more listings to add to the bundle deal or clear your cart.
Once the listings have been added, you can proceed to “Make Offer” or “Request for Proposal”. You will still be able to add or remove listings later during the Offer or Proposal process.
From the Bundled Deal Cart, you can also search for titles listed by the seller. Simply click on the “Expand” button and type the title of your listing in the search bar. You’ll be given the choice to view the Listing Information for that title or to directly add it into your bundled deal.
Once you’ve selected your titles, you can choose to Make an Offer to the seller, or Request for a Proposal if you want the Seller to suggest a price.
Make an Offer
After making an offer on the titles in your Bundled Deal Cart, the details of the listing can be found on the right-hand side of the screen. These include the number of Listings, the total cumulative hours of those listings, the Seller, and the Buyer.
Note: Even if you’re in the process of making an offer, you can still add more titles to your bundle. Just go to selected listings, located in the Rights & Commercials category, and click the search bar on “Add additional listings to this group:”
Structuring an offer for your Bundled Deal is similar to structuring an offer for a single listing. Learn all about how to Make an Offer here.
An Offer includes the following components, click on each to find out more.
- License Region & Period
- Rights & Commercials - Selected Listings, Rights Types, Pricing Models & Commercial Groups
- Language & Delivery Specs - Exhibition Channels, Material Specifications
- Payment Details - Terms & Conditions. Custom Terms, Legal Entities
Checking avails in a Bundled Deal
Use our handy Rights Types grid to check avails instantly. If a listing in your bundle is not available, you may exclude it from the proposal but insert a comment in the custom terms indicating your interest in that title. Or create a single listing Offer separately.
After you’ve sent your Bundle Deal offer, you can check your Dashboard on the left panel to find out the progress of your offer
When a deal is accepted, or a counteroffer is made, the deal will be pushed to the top of your Negotiations list on the Dashboard.
Request for Proposal
A Request for Proposal (RFP) differs from an offer in that you will be asking the Seller to suggest a price for the Bundled Deal. You will still need to input your licensing requirements, similar to how you would for an Offer.
Learn how to Create a Request For Proposal (RFP) here.
If you decide to make an offer instead, you can also click on the Make an Offer button.
