Navigating the Vuulr application as a Buyer
Once you have successfully logged in, you will land on the Homepage.
The homepage
This is a curated, smart selection of titles and bundles designed to inspire you. Click on the drop- down bar to cycle through the ideas. You can ‘go home’ at any time by clicking the Vuulr logo in the top left.
The Main Menu
This can be expanded and collapsed to suit your viewability preferences. It comprises a few sections:
Discovery
Listings: the first menu item in the Discovery section. If you’re stuck on what to look for, we recommend starting here! This is our ‘department store’ with tens of thousands of titles all searchable with powerful search tools and filters (including Search by Avails).
You will also be able to access your Saved Searches and Saved Search Alerts.
The next 3 areas are if you have more of an idea what you need, or what you’ve researched before. Here you can search and review:
- by Bundle Offers you’ve started, and your Watchlists which not only work as the name suggests, but they act almost like draft Bundle Offers
- by specific Sellers, if you know who you want to buy from, or what sort of Seller you need (eg genre specialists). Easy to explore entire catalogs from here
- by Screening Rooms. Seller-branded spaces where they curate their best Screeners for your viewing (and quick Offering)
My Items
Your Dashboard contains a quick overview of activities on your account, such as; the statuses of your Negotiations,Messages, Completed Deals and Negotiations that will soon Expire.
The Negotiations page expands on the Dashboard, showing more details on your pending Offers & RFPs. The search bar at the top of this page - &/or the filters - allows you to do a quick search if you are looking for a specific deal or title amongst all your Negotiations.
The Messaging Center allows you to communicate with counterparties in order to complete transactions. Here, Buyers and Sellers are able to discuss specific terms before making a Counter- offer and ultimately complete a deal. All of these conversations will appear here for ease of access. A chat widget also appears on the Offer page for targeted communications.
Buyer Briefs
Buyer Briefs allow you to post anonymous briefs on the Vuulr platform, which Sellers worldwide will respond to by pitching you titles that match. Read more about it here.
Support
Our Support menu contains several helpful areas including links to our entire Knowledge Base on our Support pages.
Settings
The top right menu contains your account Settings accessed by clicking your avatar, or the menu just to its left. Here you can edit your personal profile, your organization profile, customised buying parameters (saved searches, customized regions) etc.
The Notifications bell will alert you to any updates from Sellers (eg Counter-offers), and system updates from the Vuulr Team.
The Shopping Cart shows the titles you have selected to go into a Bundle Offer. We describe Bundles in more detail here.
